Kenny Fogle has dedicated over three decades to building the Democratic Party in Nelson County, serving on the county executive committee for more than thirty years and chairing the party since December 2018.
As chair, Kenny leads the annual Rally at The Burg — a tri-county Democratic gathering now in its fourth year that brings together activists, candidates, and working families from across the region. He also serves as deputy political director for the Kentucky Democratic Party, helping organize Democratic campaigns statewide.
A proud member of IBEW Local 369, the electricians' union in Louisville, Kenny has been a lifelong advocate for labor rights and working families. He has been a strong voice for Governor Andy Beshear's rural economic development efforts, tornado relief, and the restoration of Kynect health insurance access.
Kenny is also the author of The Day Before Graduation, a book that speaks to the hopes and challenges facing young Kentuckians. He frequently substitutes as a radio co-host on WBRT's "Bradford & Brooks" show in Bardstown, where he interviews local candidates and discusses community issues.
His guiding belief, as he told the Kentucky Lantern, is simple and powerful: "If we revive the Democratic Party, it won't be from the national level. It won't be from the state level. It'll be county by county by county."
